Summary: Criminal Minds is a resource for Criminal studies, current criminal rates, professional criminal education, criminal justice issues, and criminal TV series with topics like criminal profiling, racial profiling, the decline of the US Crime Rate, Law and Order Criminal Intent TV Series, Criminal Minds TV Series, and importance of employee background checks.

Criminal Minds is an online criminal information related site. Criminal studies, current criminal rates, professional criminal education, criminal justice issues, and criminal TV series are just a few of the topics discussed with-in this site. Specific criminal topics with detailed information are criminal profiling, racial profiling, the decline of the US Crime Rate, Law and Order Criminal Intent TV Series, Criminal Minds TV Series, importance of employee background checks, and more. There are also many interesting criminal statistics presented on the site from the FBI’s yearly United States crime rate study or FBI crime rate stats.

The criminal psychology behind why someone commits a heinous or violent crime has been studied for decades. Criminal profilers have literally spent hours interviewing and studying well-known criminals such as Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer to gain a better understanding of what drives them to commit such horrific crimes.

One conclusion that has been reached is that it is a matter of both nurture an nature. Hardened criminals are lacking in the ability to empathize with their victims, or to realize that what they are doing is wrong. They feel justified in committing the crime and often feel as if the victim “deserved” it. They may choose to seek out a select group of people to “punish,” such as women. Often in these criminals’ past is a history of severe child abuse or neglect, mental illness and an absence of parental involvement in the rearing of the child. Early warning signs that something is terribly wrong with the child’s behavior or language is overlooked. They are often ridiculed by peers and family members, or made to perform unnatural acts. Often profilers are able to describe the type of car a criminal may drive, what kind of clothes they wear and what job they hold simply based on the type of crime that has been committed and the manner in which it was executed.

Criminal Minds TV Series:

Criminal Minds has recently become a popular term due to the recent Criminal Minds TV Series where an elite team of FBI agents from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) use criminal profiling techniques to prevent future crimes. The main roles of characters on Criminal Minds are FBI BAU Special Agents, FBI Audio Visual Technician, FBI Behavioral Analyst and FBI BAU Supervisory Special Agent. This TV Series also focuses on the criminal instead of the actual crimes being committed. The FBI BAU Agents tend to focus on horrific serial crimes like arson, rape, and murder. This criminal series is similar to other crime series like CSI: NY, CSI Miami, CSI Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, The Unit and Cold Case but Criminal Minds focuses on preventing crimes. The Criminal Minds Series originally started in September 2005. Criminal Minds also has Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3 out on DVD in box sets.

Criminal minds is not only unique because of the fact the criminal is focused on instead of the crime, but also each show starts out with a famous quote being read along with that particular show ties into the quote. The quotes are often taken from well known authors like Shakespeare, Susan B Anthony, John Steinbeck, Euripides, Clive Barker, and Martin Luther King. This famous quote is presented as a voice over at the beginning of the show and wraps up the end of the show at the conclusion by one of the actors on the series.

In one of the most popular episodes to date of Criminal Minds was placed in Guantanamo Bay where the interrogation of a Muslim detainee was done in hopes of stopping a terrorist attack in the United States. This script was written by an actual FBI profiler by the name of Jim Clemente. Other Criminal Minds episodes include criminal topics like necrophilia, cannibalism, and child serial killers. Criminal Minds series shows how the agents help solve and prevent the crimes, but the series also shows how the involvement of these terrible crimes also impact the FBI agents involved.

Summary: Law and Order Criminal Intent : Investigation drama series on USA has a large following of viewers. Criminal Intent also has many episodes along with Criminal Intent games, DVDs, and Law and Order online downloads.

Law & Order Criminal Intent Crew - Season 7 Cast

The beloved criminal investigation drama TV Series, ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ aired on NBC for a total of six seasons. In October of 2008, Criminal Intent will move to its new home on the USA Network . Law and Order is the second longest drama series in Television history. Law and Order Criminal Intent cast is made up of well known actors who fit well as detectives and was originally created in 2001 by Rene Balcer and Dick Wolf. There have been many Law and Order Criminal Intent episode as the series is at its seventh year.

“Law & Order: Criminal Intent” has become so popular there has been Criminal Intent games created, a number of Law and Order Criminal Intent DVD sets produced, and many ‘Law & Order Criminal Intent’ downloadable videos or shows online.

The show stars Chris Noth as Detective Mike Logan, alongside Detective Wheeler, played by Julianne Nicholson. Vincent D’Onfrio also stars, as Detective Robert Goren. These detectives are members of what is known as “The Major Case Squad”. They investigate high profile crimes in New York City.

The show and the detectives within it use a criminal psychological approach to catch criminals, and allows the viewer to peek into the mind of those who are committing the crimes. This makes the show very unique, because other incarnations of Law and Order tend to focus solely on the police and prosecution, not the actual criminals and the crimes themselves.

The detectives in the show all have fairly well developed characteristics that make them unique. Goren, for instance, is quirky and extremely intelligent. Often, his gut-instinct turns out to be the thing that breaks a case, not just hard facts. Det. Logan is a bit more of a troubled soul, who has had his trouble within the force in the past, when he punched a New York City politician who had murdered a gay man.

The show is a “spin-off” of the long running popular prime time drama, “Law and Order”. Additionally, the show usually takes one of the two “pairs” of detectives and focuses on their case, whereas other Law and Orders have done several stories at once.

As far as a definition of criminal intent: The issue of intent with regard to crime is closely associated with that of culpability. If I commit a crime, but I don’t intend to commit it, am I guilty? Criminal intent law, this is an issue that has been fought out in courtrooms the world over for centuries.

While ignorance of the law is no excuse, lack of culpability is. This makes some situations rather interesting. For example, if I open the wrapping of some software that has the words “by opening this box you agree with the following terms…” written on it, am I guilty if I subsequently break those terms simply because it never occurred to me to read a 10,000 word legal agreement as part of opening up a box? Take it further, and am I guilty of a crime if I am unable to understand what I’m doing (if I’m sufficiently drunk, for example)?

It’s no wonder lawyers get paid as much as they do to bamboozle juries and walk a fine tightrope in front of a judge!
